Driving

Taking housebound people to appointments

Using volunteer's own vehicle, to take elderly, disabled and housebound local people to appointments at hospital, surgeries, clinics, group activities and social engagements.

• You need a clean driving licence and your own car.
• Occasionally assistance is needed for the infirm.
• A mileage allowance is paid to cover costs.

Minibus driving is also undertaken. This generally requires DCC certification.
